How to Use Your Phone Camera in OBS Studio | CameraPro.io

Hey everyone,

Today I am going to show you how you can use your iPhone or Android device cameras as a webcam in OBS Studio. Let’s take a look.

From the CameraPro.io homepage click Sign Up/Log In.

Once you have logged in you will land on your Cameras Dashboard.

From desktop you are done here.

Now on your mobile device, follow the same steps. From the CameraPro.io homepage tap Sign Up/Log In and log in with the same account you used on your desktop.

Once you have logged in you will land on your Cameras Dashboard. Now from here tap on “Start Camera On This Device”. After starting your camera on your mobile device you should see the video feed from that device on your desktop in your Cameras Dashboard.

Now to add this video feed into OBS Studio we offer 2 methods.

Method 1: This method is quicker and easier than the following method. On your desktop arrange the CameraPro.io dashboard and OBS Studio windows side by side so you can view both at once. From the Cameras Dashboard click and drag the hand icon that is in the top right of your video feed into OBS Studio. This should automatically add the video in as a browser source.

Method 2: On the Cameras Dashboard you can copy the video streams URL by clicking on the link icon in the top right of your video feed. The icon should change to a checkmark when clicked. This will copy the URL to your clipboard. Now in OBS Studio you want to add a browser source to a scene. You can do this under sources, clicking the “+” icon, and then “browser”. Give the source a name if you would like. Once you are in the source properties you can paste the camera stream URL in the URL text field. You will also want to change the width to 1920 and the height to 1080. Click “Ok” and you should see your mobile video feed in OBS Studio.

To control the devices audio in OBS Studio, right click on the browser source and click properties. Once in the properties window check on “Control audio via OBS”, then click “Ok”. You should now see your device in the audio mixer.
